On October 9, 2026 Amazon Connect Customer added Save and validate in 8 Regions. Structural errors block activation. Gen AI warnings do not. The Gen AI check is capped at 3 in parallel and 30 per hour.

As of 3 October 2026 the managed AWS MCP Server has endpoints in 8 Regions, a hard cap of 10 authenticated requests per second, and two auth paths. OAuth is the single-account start. SigV4 is the one that can hide write tools and switch accounts.
On 9 Sep 2026 AWS raised LMI async and ESM timeout from 15 to 90 minutes (5,400 s). A 90-minute SQS consumer needs at least 9 hours of visibility. Sync and classic on-demand Lambda stay at 15 minutes.
On Aug 7, 2026, AWS shipped aws-auth as a core Cognito skill in the Agent Toolkit—603 installs on skills.sh within days, 9 reference packs under skills/core-skills/aws-auth, and a hard warning that update-user-pool-client is a full replace.
On August 4, 2026 Amazon Connect Cases gained workspace CSV export in 10 Regions — Cases.Export permission, field picker, Cases-export-YYYY-MM-DD.csv. Enable for the right roles only.
EKS Kubernetes 1.36 is available with user namespaces GA and mutating admission policies. Since July 2026 you can roll back an in-place control-plane upgrade within 7 days at no extra charge — but only N→N-1, and Fargate or strict PDBs can block you.
